Film Entry Terms & Conditions

• Submissions are open to filmmakers aged 18 and over.

• Films must have a maximum runtime of 5 minutes, with a 2-minute grace period (up to 7 minutes total).

• Films exceeding 7 minutes will not be considered.

• Films may be submitted from any location, though preference may be given to local and emerging creatives.

• Submissions must be received by the stated deadline, where applicable.

• You confirm that you are the sole rights holder of the submitted film or have obtained all necessary permissions from contributors.

• You confirm that all music, visuals, dialogue, and performances used in the film are cleared for public screening.

• Elokyves accepts no responsibility for copyright infringements within submitted works.

• If selected, your film may be screened once at a private, ticketed Elokyves event to a small in-person audience (maximum 16 attendees).

• Films will not be distributed, sold, or uploaded online by Elokyves without your explicit written consent.

• Elokyves may use the film title, still images, and short excerpts for event promotion only (e.g. website or social media) where we will credit the owner.

• Film & Discuss | Unplugged is a curated experience.

• Submission does not guarantee selection.

• Selection decisions are final and based on alignment with the values, tone, and purpose of the event.

• Due to limited screening time, not all submissions can be included.

• We welcome honest, raw, and creative storytelling.

However:

• Films must not contain hate speech, harassment, explicit sexual content, or material that promotes violence.

• Sensitive or emotional topics are welcome but must be approached with care.

• Filmmakers are encouraged to include content notes or trigger warnings where relevant.

Elokyves reserves the right to decline any submission that may compromise the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of attendees.

• Selected films will be followed by a guided group discussion.

• Discussions are not critique sessions, but spaces for reflection, listening, and respectful dialogue.

• Elokyves will moderate discussions to maintain a safe, non-judgmental environment for all.

• Filmmakers are welcome and required to attend the event in person.

• Attendance does not guarantee speaking time unless agreed in advance.

• All attendees must hold a valid ticket and provide ID if requested.

• Films may be submitted via private streaming links (e.g. Vimeo, YouTube, Google Drive) or WeTransfer, as outlined in the submission guidelines.

• Elokyves is not responsible for expired links, broken files, or incomplete submissions.

• We welcome honest, raw, and creative storytelling.

However:

• Submissions are made at the filmmaker’s own risk.

• Elokyves reserves the right to amend, postpone, or cancel the event if necessary.

By submitting your film, you confirm that:

• You grant Elokyves permission to review and consider your film for inclusion in the event
